What is the Football in the Park?

Football in the Park by Keiki Athletes is a workshop program designed to introduce young athletes to the sport of flag football in a safe, encouraging, and high-energy environment. Held at the Kapi'olani Park on Saturdays, each session blends fundamental skill development with friendly competition - so every kid walks away more confident, more athletic, and ready for more.

Workshop Agenda

10:00 am – Welcome & warm-up

10:15 am – Fundamentals & drills of day

11:00 am – Scrimmage & games

11:45 am – Cool down & Q&A

12:00 pm – Wrap up

FAQs

  • Each workshop is designed as a standalone session, so you can sign up for one, a few, or all of them!

  • We provide all necessary equipment including flags and footballs

    Athletes should bring:

    • Water bottle

    • Sunscreen

    • Athletic shoes (cleats are welcome but not required)

  • This is an introductory program where all levels are welcome. Our programs are designed for Grades 2 to 6. We split into groups based on age and experience.

Our Story

We founded Keiki Coders and Keiki Athletes from scratch starting with free classes in Kapi’olani Park.

Through word of mouth we’ve grown our programs, serving over 1,500 students across 17+ schools and partners in Hawaiʻi.
